Sect 17 PJ - Tua Huat Ulu Yam Loh Mee

Restoran Tua Huat is located in Section 17, PJ, same row as Nanking Vege place and just opposite Kanna Curry House. Opens 9am to 9pm and its not just fully air conditioned but very very cold as well. Parking is a bit hard on weekdays but weekends is easy.

They serve all sort of noodles here, even some common one like cantonese fried and all but the 2 famous here are their Loh Mee, the Ulu Yam style and a Yam & Pork Claypot noodles. There are also additional like fish cake, veges all you can add.

This round, we ordered the loh mee for 1 person, that's RM5 and the yam & pork claypot noodles for 2 persons (minimum order for this is 2 pax) RM12. Price is not bad, herbal drink is RM1 per cup, cheaper than most coffeeshop in PJ now.

The "see tou poh" (lady boss) told me that the noodles are made by themselves. In both noodles I ordered are using the same type of loh mee kind of yellow noodles. The loh mee is excellent, very tasty especially when added with black vinegar. The yam & pork claypot noodles is something unique, basically the sauce have a lot of yam in them and pork ribs and pieces of yam are available with the noodles.

My personal favourite is the loh mee and vinegar are good for our body, they say less salt, more vinegar keeps you healthy.
