Kg Baru Subang - Restoran Kwai Lam (Fried Chicken Wings)

My favourite at Kwai Lam are their yummilicious fried chicken wings, they are absolutely fantastics and a must have at this place. Kwai Lam is located in Kampung Baru Subang near the old Subang airport. Just go to Kg Baru Subang town, then at the main traffic light at the end of the rows of shops, turn left and its on your right.

Just like any restaurant in this area, its mainly make shift restaurants from the old houses along the road. Was there on a Friday and it was quite ok, usually on weekends, this place is packed and the wait is crazy.

Fried chicken wings here is a must, mainly marinated with "lum yee" and then fried crispy and served hot. Besides that, the other popular dish is their dried fried keow teoy which they then top it with a raw egg, absolutely smooth and tasty, in fact, that's the first thing that finished compared to the rest.

The other thing quite good here are their lala (clams), stir fried in ginger and onion, the sauce is tasty and the lala are big in size, the shell at least :P

The rest are ok, even the bbq fish is just so so, I still prefer those Portuguese style with lots of chilies on them. The total bill came to RM130 for 11 persons. Almost RM30 went to 18 chicken wings and RM30 for the bbq sting ray, chicken wings ok but the fish is so so only. Next time, just stick to wings and keoy teow :D
