Klang Bukit Kemuning - Tien Tien Lai Seafood

At Bukit Kemuning area along Jalan Kebun, heading to Klang direction, there are a few small chinese restaurant serving the local communities there. Me and some friends plus their kids stumbled upon Tien Tien Lai which served dishes plus seafood.

As you drive heading to Klang, the place is just on your right, brightly lite and filled with diner's cars outside. They have some big mud crabs selling at RM36 per kg, which is quite ok rate. But since there are only the few of us, we ordered a fried lala (clams), salted egg pork ribs (unique!), fried vegetables and sizzling pan tofu for the little kid. The soya drink here comes in a big bottle, looks home made and is nice.

Food quality is good overall, I like it, lala are the small type but the sauce is nice and the salted egg pork ribs is something different. Price is average and is a good place to dine. But it gets crowded on weekend, so the wait is a bit long, the kitchen seems to be busy non stop.

Klang - Restoran Lai Choon Bah, Bak Kut Teh

This place have been around for a long time in Klang, just at Jalan Pekan Baru off Jalan Meru (near Klang Parade). This is one of the many places that's already serving dried bak kut teh when other places have not done so.

On a weekday morning, the crowd is quite ok but lunch time and weekend will be packed. I ordered the soup as well as the dried one. The dried one is not bad but not spicy enough and lack those dried "yau yee" that makes it yummy! I still prefer the soup version of the BKT here ;)

Putra Heights - The Ocean Seafood

The only time I been to Putra Heights was to check out some new houses there with a few friends many years ago, which unfortunately the only memories from that how I wanted to take my digital camera from the car for my friend but walked into an uncovered manhole! Thank god I survived with only minor cuts :P

Anyhow, a friend of mine have been bragging about this good Chinese makan place in Putra Heights and one fine evening I was invited to join for dinner. Its located in the housing area there where you will find a 1 row of shoplot and its the corner shop you can't miss.

The Ocean Seafood really overwhelm you with the amount of choices of dishes they have, from the usual home cook dishes up to luxurious restaurant standard dishes like shark fin, abalone, etc. Business is good on a Sunday night even though its raining then.

We went with normal dishes like marinated pork ribs, yam prawns, claypot tofu, abalone mix vegetables (small slices), etc. Its surprisingly good and I wouldn't mind traveling all the way there to eat. Prices are ok too, not too bad for KL standard.
