Sg Way, PJ - Big Tree Pan Mee

If you do go Sg Way during lunch time, check out this place, pretty decent food. If you come up from the federal highway to Sg Way main street, turn right after the wet market and its on your left after the bicycle shop and parking lot. Its just zinc roof with a big tree on top.

We tried the pan mee here, I had the dried one and we ordered some extra dumpling. The pan is quite decent but what makes it good is really the chili sauce itself! The toppings for the pan mee are plenty full as well. Dumpling is big and nice too at RM1 each. Pan mee is RM3.50 and herbal tea is about RM1.00. There is also a tai chow stall next door where you can have fried noodles, rice, etc.

Sg Way: Claypot Chicken Rice

In the middle of the Sg. Way busy main street in Petaling Jaya, next to a pawn shop is a small alley of hawkers food, there are basically a mix rice stall, a chicken rice stall, a fried noodles stall, 1 for drinks and a claypot chicken rice stall.

We decided to go for the claypot chicken rice here. The rice are a bit dry to my liking, taste wise is just average but still ok to eat with nice bits of salted fish. Simple soup are also served with the rice.

Sg Way - Wing Lee

This is a coffee shop next to the Sg. Way, PJ's wet market. In the shop there are 2 stalls, 1 frying noodles and 1 frying dishes. There were 4 of us that day and we opted for dishes.

We ordered a snapper fish to be deep fried, fried yuk mak vege, local tofu with minced meat and a fried roast pork. Most of the dishes are good, but the greatest part was that the billed with rice only came out to be RM53.00 which is considered to be cheap in PJ! Not a bad place for a decent and reasonably priced meal.



After lunch, we bought some biscuits and coffee and pass it to the kung kung and poh poh at the Sg. Way Old Folks home which is near the market. You can see the old folks smiling when you call them, maybe the next time, should not just be food stuff, but actually spending time chatting? ;)
