The history of Makan Trip

I first thought of the Makan (eat) Trip because I like to travel and I like to eat and try out new things as well. Malaysians are known to travel long distance just to experience eating experience which are unique to them.

So I thought why not do a Makan Trip where it's a low cost trip, usually 1 day, where a group of food lovers gather and travel to a known or unknown destination within Malaysia to sample the local specialty. Along the way we will find interesting spots where we could stop to kill time before our next meal, like waterfall, cave, tourist spots & etc.

We try to keep the budget below RM80.00, that USD$20 per trip inclusive of food and travelling expenses.

It's a great way to see Malaysia and you get to meet new people and friends along the way besides tasting exceptionally good food (not all the time unfortunately, like I say new place, new eating experience, you get the bad one too sometimes!).
